About me
I survived what can only be described as torture, extreme abuse as a young teen following the tragic death of my teacher in a horrific car accident. The anxiety, depression, PTSD, and struggles with undiagnosed neurodivergence were the shamanic initiations I needed, and I’m very grateful for them now that I’m on the other side. But they were so very challenging. They brought me to my knees everyday, I met each morning with dread, and I had no one I could turn to who could help me.

Funnily enough, it was my life coach who announced she felt I should have a spiritual awakening. An online quiz of all things led me to Taoism and Buddhism, before I ultimately abandoned those practices and found shamanism by seeking the oldest religion. While shamanism isn’t a religion, it predates all other spiritual practices the world over, dating back over 100,000 years. As I began to nerd out on its history and practices, it was a podcast that told me to seek a soul retrieval from someone on Sandra Ingerman’s Shamanic Teachers list.

After the first session, I was hooked, and there was no going back. Change was immediate despite my overwhelming feelings of hopelessness and doubtfulness. I finally felt better, and I knew I needed to dedicate my life to this work in fairly short order.

My Story
I began my own explorations into shamanic healing in 2016 when traditional psychotherapy plateaued. By 2018, it was recommended I begin taking Sandra Ingerman’s live, online courses on The Shift Network to learn how to journey and work with Nature formally. When the pandemic hit in 2020, Jonathan and Zara began offering their courses online for the first time, and my practice truly blossomed. This is absolutely a calling. Once I’d been introduced to such a deep, rich spiritual practice that positively impacted every aspect of my life, I could never abandon it.

I have traveled to study with Jonathan & Zara in southern Sweden for their residential trainings, as well as with Sandra Ingerman in her 2024 Advanced Shamanic Practitioner Training, and then I was accepted to her 2025-2026 Shamanic Teacher Training, both in Galisteo, NM. My long-term dream is to open a healing sanctuary where I can marry my loves of spirit work, music and animals, while helping all species heal and overcome trauma. I am sought after for my work with animals, having extensive training on a practical level working with horses and dogs, and having a particular gift for relating to them on a soul level. I am also a specialist in healing song.

My first job at 13 was helping with the horseback riding summer camp and lessons, eventually becoming a trainer/counselor myself, competing and winning in hunter jumper shows. My next job was teaching music lessons and conducting youth orchestras, my primary instrument being violin. I then added in dog walking and ultimately training, including service dogs for inviduals with disabilities, culminating in becoming an animal psychologist, focusing on dogs with fear-aggression and reactivity.
When science fell short of treating both my own mental health struggles and those of my clients (both human and more-than-human), I found the answers I was looking for in Nature and my shamanic practice. I am devoted to being a lifelong student of shamanism, and sharing any and all wisdom I receive with those I work with of any species. I am determined to be available to those who ask all over the world via Zoom, or in-person near Santa Fe, NM.
